The US president has unveiled a new line of fragrances featuring a golden statue of himself
US president Donald Trump has unveiled a new line of perfumes and colognes, marketed as "Trump Fragrances," featuring limited-edition bottles shaped like golden statues of himself.
The products went on sale this week and are promoted as commemorating "Victory 45-47," a reference to Trump's presidencies as the 45th and 47th US leader.
"Trump Fragrances are here," he wrote on his Truth Social platform on Monday. "They're called 'Victory 45-47' because they're all about Winning, Strength, and Success - For men and women. Get yourself a bottle, and don't forget to get one for your loved ones too."
The New "Victory 47" line is being sold for $249 per 100ml bottle, with an option to save $100 when purchasing two. Trump's perfume lineup also currently features the "Fight, Fight, Fight" fragrance for men and women, sold for $199 and featuring a golden image of Trump after he survived an assassination attempt last year.
While the launch has generated enthusiasm among Trump supporters and collectors, it has also drawn criticism from political opponents and ethics advocates, who denounced the release as inappropriate for a sitting president.
"From crypto scams to shady real estate deals, Trump phones, and cologne. He's never stopped using the presidency to enrich himself and his family, "the campaign group Republicans Against Trump wrote on X.
Online reviews have been mixed. On Fragrantica, users have described the men's cologne as woody and spicy, with notes of cardamom, geranium, and fougère accord. Some reviews praised the scent as competent but overpriced, while others appeared to post critical commentary without having tested the product.
"This honestly isn't bad. But it's nothing impressive," one reviewer wrote. "I will however say that this is way, way, WAY overpriced. This legit smells like something you could get at Ross for $26," they added, suggesting that "there really isn't any reason to own this unless Trump is your god."
The launch adds to a growing roster of branded Trump merchandise that includes watches, sneakers, books, NFTs, and cryptocurrency. According to Forbes and Trump's most recent financial disclosure, the ventures have generated tens of millions of dollars in revenue since the beginning of his second term.
