Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 13 (ANI): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over the state's development, especially the swift management of its law and order, stating that no criminal can walk with his head held high.
'The current CM of UP is also writing a new story of development. Today, there is a rule of law in UP... The state's contribution to the country's development has increased. Now, no criminal can walk with his head held high in the state.' Rajnath Singh said.
Speaking about the BrahMos Missile Integration Unit in Lucknow, Rajanth Singh highlighted how it will increase employment in the state.
'After Operation Sindoor, the demand for BrahMos missiles has increased in foreign countries as well, and now BrahMos will be exported from Lucknow....This will also help in increasing employment in the state,' Defence Minister said.
Rajnath Singh's praise for Yogi Adityanath came after he unveiled the statue of former UP CM Chandrabhanu Gupta.
Speaking about the former CM Chandra Bhanu Gupta, Rajnath Singh said, 'Chandrabanu Gupta was among the leaders who laid down the foundation of the governance system. He started a tradition of public service in politics. He also gave the mantra to keep the people's welfare as a priority.'
'Chandra Banu ji vision was never limited to a region. It was always nationalist because he was one of the national leader who was part of India's freedom struggle,' he added.
Chandra Bhanu Gupta was a freedom fighter and eminent politician who served three terms as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister.
On Saturday, Rajnath Singh attended the inauguration ceremony of a new block at the Badi Kaliji Temple complex in Lucknow
Speaking at the event, he said that the Indian Army continues to receive the special blessings of Maa Kali, as he stated that Indian forces successfully destroyed nine terror camps located in Pakistan during a recent operation named Operation Sindoor.
'Maa Kali has always had special blessings over the Indian Army. Recently, during Operation Sindoor, Indian forces were able to destroy nine terror camps in Pakistan. Women soldiers and pilots also participated in this operation, not just male soldiers. That one form of Mahakali defeated the enemies,' Rajnath Singh said. (ANI)
